Duane Williams Jr., is a native of Baltimore, MD. Not only is Duane a minister and a motivational speaker, he is a mentor, activist, and coach who has dedicated himself to the youth with empowering them spiritually and naturally. Duane is very passionate about healthy development for the youth to prepare them for their future and equipping them with the tools to succeed.
In the community, Duane is highly respected and has been given the name “Coach D”. Whether he is coaching on the court, in the classroom or in the church, Coach D is determined to make a difference worldwide. Duane has a burden to bridge the gap between the church and the community. Strongly believing that the invitation to Christ isn’t limited to those who come to church; Duane boldly takes the gospel to the streets.
Duane has survived some harsh struggles in life including the loss of his father at a very young age. However, these setbacks and trials were only preparing him for his days of perpetual triumph. He confidently proclaims that with Christ no matter the situation, “You can make it!”
Duane served as the Community Outreach Director for Sharper Minds Consultant, which inspires to educate individuals on dating and domestic violence. Duane is a featured columnist who wrote an article entitled “Young, Single, Black, & Christian” for mybaltimorespirit.com. His faithfulness and dedication for serving the kingdom and community have opened many doors and numerous awards of recognition including the 2016 Metro Distinguished Award. He has also served as the Youth Director at Faith Tabernacle Church, Life Bridge Church, In the House of the Lord Int’l Ministries, and Abundant Harvest Ministries. He now serves as the proud Youth Director of Changing Lives Ministries.
Whether it’s professional or ministry Duane Williams Jr. is one of the many voices that is influential to the right now generation. Duane unapologetically lives by the scripture “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.
